New Science Grant!

We are so excited to have been awarded a grant from (IEEE) the Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers ! Mr. Norm Phoenix visited our library to present us with our award.

In the next few weeks, we are going to use this generous grant to purchase circulating science kits! We will have a robot, an arduino board,  and snap circuits, that you can check out from the library and build at home.

We will also have kits where you can learn to use renewable energy sources, like wind, solar and water!

Each of our kits will have their own backpack and will include additional materials like dvd’s and books on the same topic.

These are just a few of the projects you will be building:

In the comments below, let us know which one you will check out first!

Happy Earth Day!

Be sure to visit the library today for your Earth Day button and show your support for our beautiful planet!

“The first Earth Day was in 1970. After damage done by a 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California,  a national “teach-in”  was held that focused on educating the public about the environment.” – LiveScience.com

This Earth Day will also feature marches around the United States to show support for scientists and those who work to save the environment.

Here is more information on how to help our planet.
